3D knitted material

3D knitted material is a fabric with excellent ventilating properties. It is used primarily as a top layer for Auping mattresses, in order to improve the ventilation.

Asymmetric springs (DPPS®)

All Auping AVS mattresses are fitted with DPPS® pocket springs - Dynamic Progressive Pocket Springs. These springs are built differently from traditional pocket springs. The unique, asymmetric shape gives improved pressure distribution while lying down. The soft upper part of the spring helps you quickly settle after turning. The supportive middle section gives better support for your shoulders and hips, and the firm bottom layer makes sure that you sink less while sitting and turning. DPPS® springs also ensure that the mattress bends easily with the mesh base.

AVS

The letters AVS stand for Active Ventilation and Support. The Auping AVS range includes mesh bases, mattresses, top mattresses, box springs, duvets and pillows. All Auping AVS products are designed to offer you a good combination of active ventilation, support and pressure reduction.

Comfortslide®

Comfortslide® by Auping is a special technology used to perfectly adapt a mesh base to your body and personal preferences. The system uses sliders that you can move together to increase the resistance or push apart to make the mesh base softer. Comfortslide® offers 9 settings in 2 comfort zones.

HR foam

HR foam is a material used in certain types of mattresses and top mattresses. The letter HR stand for High Resilience. HR foam has a naturally open cellular structure which provides good ventilation and moisture regulation. The material also has a long lifespan.

Nomite®

All Auping down duvets come with the NOMITE® label, which is a quality mark of the European Down and Feather Association (EDFA). This quality mark indicates that all our AVS duvets are outstandingly suitable for people with house dust mite allergies.

Öko-Tex Standard

With more than 20,000 certificates awarded to millions of textile products, Öko-Tex Standard 100 is the worldwide leading eco-label for harmful-substances testing in textiles.

Support

The Support is the frame on which the Auping mesh base rests.

Talalay® latex

Talalay® latex is used in certain types of mattresses and top mattresses. the material is made according to a process in which uniform round air bubbles are formed, which ensure optimum resilience and excellent support for your body.

Ticking

Ticking, the material surrounding the core of the mattress, is usually made up of three layers: an inner layer, a layer that ensures that the filling remains in place and an outer layer for a smart finish. Ticking is also used as a cover for duvets. There is also synthetic ticking, which may include polyester, polyamides or viscose.

Visco-elastic foam

Visco-elastic foam is used (often as a top layer) in certain types of mattresses and top mattresses. This material forms itself flexibly around the body and distributes pressure evenly.
