Jan-Joost Bosman new CEO Royal Auping
As of 1 January 2018, Jan-Joost Bosman (1971) will be appointed as the new CEO of Royal Auping, the Dutch manufacturer and retailer of beds, mattresses and sleep related products. Bosman currently fulfills the role of Market Director Netherlands within Auping. He has extensive experience in marketing, sales and general management. He previously worked at L'Oréal and Verosol, amongst others. Bosman succeeds Aart Roos, who left the company in September.

DSM-Niaga and Auping to develop fully recyclable mattresses
Royal DSM, a global science company active in health, nutrition and materials, today announce that DSM-Niaga - a joint venture of DSM and start-up company Niaga - and Royal Auping start a long-term collaboration to develop fully recyclable mattresses. The mutual goal of the collaboration is to tackle landfill and incineration of mattresses globally and use healthy materials in mattresses. Both companies aim to find scalable solutions to solve waste issues all over the globe. They realize how the manufacturing processes and business models might need to change to make a fully circular mattress work.

Auping debuts at Dutch design week
Koninklijke Auping will be heading to Dutch Design Week (DDW) for the first time ever in 2017. The bed and mattress specialist and the design duo from RENS will be presenting their joint research project, Nighty-Night Colours, during the 16th edition of this event. The exhibition for this colour study will be on display in the RENS Studio (Eindhoven) from 21 through 29 October.

What makes a good bed base so important?
A good bed base is extremely important because it guarantees the right level of support and ventilation. The right bed base lengthens the life of your mattress (thanks to proper ventilation) and ensures it gives you great support by applying the right amount of counter-pressure just where you need it.
