Modest luxury
Auping Noble is an elegant design bed, designed by Johan van Hengel for Auping. The bed exudes a modest form of luxury. The design is powerful due to its simplicity and consists of a wide plateau of solid oak, with rounded corners. The bed is handmade in Deventer from solid and sustainable oak wood that has been specially selected for us from forests in Europe.
Colours and material
The Noble is available in six colours of stain for the wood;
- Soft white oak
- Solid oak
- Coffee brown oak
- Chocolate brown oak
- Dark blue oak
- Midnight black oak
The headboard and lounge pillows are upholstered with one of the fabrics from the Auping fabric collection. The Auping fabric collection consists of five groups with 15 fabrics in no less than 95 different colours. Inspired by what we see around us in nature, these colours are all equally soft,calm and applicable in every bedroom. Want to add even more colours? This can be done by adding textiles and accessories in different textures and colours.

Johan van Hengel
The design also finds it origin nearby. Rotterdam based Johan van Hengel creates beautiful items using rich materials, combined with the user in mind. Johan worked, amongst others, for Muuto, Hay en Montis.
"During the design process of this bed, I focused on modest luxury, use and comfortable security. For me, luxury is also in the use of high-quality and natural materials. Hence the choice for solid oak, which gives a nice sturdy and qualitative look and also lasts a long time. The understated shape in combination with the warmth of fabric, large lounge cushions and a headboard across the width creates a luxurious, generous and timeless bed".

Lounge with the big pillows
Different from our other beds, the Auping Noble has two big pillows attached to the headboard. They are as wide as the mattress you choose, so you're super comfy and well rested. Of course you can design the pillows to your own taste. Choose the same colour as the headboard if you like, or make it a bit more adventurous with contrasting colours.
Legs in a lovely round shape
The legs of Noble contribute to the soft look of the design. They come in a round shape, but they're not completely round. As a nice surprise, they have a rounded square, which gives it that extra touch.

Tables designed to service you
This is also our first bed where the bedtables are part of the design of the bed. De legs are in the middle of the tables, which gives it a stylish finish. This way, not only a harmonious look appears but it also gives to a place for your breakfast or favorite book.
Royal headbord for that safeness and security
The elegant en wide headbord is attached with a hidden support to the bed. Thanks to the royal size, it gives you that ultimate safe and secure feeling.
Sustainable design from solid oak
Auping Noble is made of solid oak. That requires real craftsmanship and care. Wood is a sustainable and natural material, it is a renewable resource. We choose our wood from forests in Europe where replanting takes place. Because the bed is made of high quality solid oak, it will last for generations, which makes Auping Noble a sustainable choice, that will last for years.
