The Royal is a modern bed with a unique design thanks to its curved legs and the combination of different colours and materials. The design is fully customisable to your liking. The curves in the frame and the legs give the Royal a soft look.
The subtle rounded frame is made of steel. The frame carries the mesh base that seems to float above your bed. We powder coat the frame in one of the 3 colours: Deep black, Pure white or Sparkling bronze.
The curved legs are made of aluminium and give the bed its modern look. The aluminium legs have an upholstered cover.

For the Royal there is a choice of two head boards, a wooden and an upholstered head board.
The wooden headboard is a slim head board with a subtle radius around it, which gives the head board a soft look.
The head board is made of beech plywood. This is very strong and therefore the head board is very durable and will last a lifetime. The wooden head board can be finished with a dark smoked oak veneer or a light oak veneer, both provide a stylish look.
We stylishly finish the upholstered headboard with double seams. The headboard can be upholstered in all 14 fabrics from the Auping fabric collection.
Both head boards have a handy storage shelf at the back for things you want to keep close to you at night. The back of the head board has 2 sockets on the left and right. Useful to connect a lamp or to charge your phone.

The Royal bedside table has a unique curved shape that perfectly matches the design of the bed. The bedside table is made of beech plywood which makes it very strong and has a long life span. It is available in the same colours as the bed: Deep black, Pure white & Sparkling bronze.
The Royal is the first bed that adapts to your sleeping position while you sleep, thanks to technological cleverness. So you can enjoy your sleep undisturbed.
The Royal is available in three variants: flat, with a 2 motor Smart base and with a 5 motor Smart base. The 5M version is unique, no other Auping bed is available in a 5 motor version. You can adjust the backrest, the lower backrest, the headrest, a knee bend and a foot lift.
Shoulder zone: soft for your shoulders
All Royal mesh bases (both flat and adjustable) have a shoulder zone.
This shoulder zone adjusts to your lying position. The base indicates which position you are lying in: on your back, side or belly. And depending on that position, the shoulder zone automatically adjusts the support of your shoulder: if you lie on your side, the base will go down slightly and if you lie on your belly or back, it will not.
The adjustable Royal has another handy technical feature. When you raise the backrest, the bed base slides backwards so that you can still easily reach your bedside table and you can still easily reach the reading light.
Especially for the Royal we have designed a reading light that always offers sufficient light. The refined lampshade contains a reflector that prevents you from looking into the bright light. That's not a pleasant thing right before bedtime. The lampshade can be rotated in all directions to enjoy reading without waking up your partner.
The built-in wake-up light mimics a sunrise in your bedroom by slowly and evenly turning on the lights. So you can wake up slowly.
Night light: easy to get out of bed
When you get out of bed in the dark, the lamp under the bed provides a subtle light. The motion sensor ensures that the lamp turns on automatically. The sensitivity of the sensor, the light intensity and the duration of the light being on, can all be preset by yourself. The floor light is optionally available.
